    Curry-oke
Here's a game we've been playing in the office for a while. The concept is simple enough: combine a song title with a curry dish (singing out loud is optional).

Below is a list of what we've come up with so far. We've also included some contributions from readers. Click on the 'Add a comment' link if you can add to the collection.

Have any of you tried this new windows live writer?

I am trying it out right now, just to see how it goes :)

Thanx William, for the suggestion i mean, i'm glad that you mentioned it, as it does seem some what easier than trying to get your blog to co-operate with you all the time!!

Plus, I can easily use all my fonts, instead of having to open word, then do my blog in there, then copy it, and finally paste it into my blog. I gave up to doing that a long time ago :)!!

So I am actually enjoying it so far, i do stress - so far - let's just go from there, haven't  wanted to use pics, or put backgrounds, or links in there yet, so lets just wait and see!!

If you fancy having a go with it then try this link: (Here goes!!) :

    Windows Live Writer

One more thing that you should be aware of however, it is still in it's beta stage, for those of us, like myself, computer illiterate, lol, that means it's not at it's completed stage yet, and that it is at it's trial stage.

    Where have I been?

    Hey there everyone :)

It's nice to be back, as i have been offline for what seems an eternity!!

Ashleigh, my oldest has spent the summer living in Canada, with her boyfriend

and his family, lovely people, really, and because of one thing or another the

internet was off, so i found it very difficult to stay in touch with her.

She is home now, and she seems to have had a whale of a time over there,

I don't think she realises that there aren't many kids her age, 16 when she left,

17 when she got back, get to have an experience like she has had !! She was

so enamered with her time over there, and not just feeling broken-hearted

because she  misses her fella, which of course she does, but the country and

the people too, that she wants me to start the paper work for her to get

Canadian status!! I felt so down when she got back and told me that this was

what she wanted, plus the crying at nights, that i really wished i'd never agreed

to her going at all. However, after speaking to the wonderful lady that she

stayed with over there, who did a brilliant job of caring for her when i

couldn't, I felt so much better about the situation. We both agreed that

Ashleigh would have to finish her A Levels over here before she could go

back permenantly, plus herself and boyfriend, Jeremy, would both have to

work hard to get the money together to fly back and forth if they wanted to see

each other, that i thought what a lucky situation she is actually in!! i mean,

she has a family out there that seem to love and respect her, she has the chance

to live in another country as soon as she has her exams, she has someone who

seems to be willing to discuss sponsorship with her, plus she has found

someone who she appears to love, and who appears to love her, what was i

whinning about? I mean really??!  i think sometimes us Mum's find it

extrememly difficult to let go of our little chicks, especially the first one outta

the nest that we loose sight of what they want and need, and that their lives are

exactly that - 'Theirs' - and that actually any time they give us after a certain

age is a gift that we must appreciate and take as a compliment, that they must

love  us to want to give us any time at all, with this exciting, fun-filled and new

world out there, just ready and waiting for them to join in. Why would they not?

we did!! And if by chance they get an apportunity that we didn't, should we not

encourage them to grab it with both hands?

Let me know what you think, or your opinion or experiences in this situation...

    Thank you,

    Lotsa luv,

    Louees XXX

    SOUND OFF 2!!

    Again with the rubbish!!!

So my housing association, Calico, decided that they would help their residents out and have a 'clean up' day for all.

We could leave black bin bags outside the door and the caretakers would come and collect them, and a skip on the nearest carpark to you, to throw bigger things in.
    Sounds great eh?!

    We thought so too!!

My nearest car park is actually at my front door, so great, but so many people had so much rubbish that by 9.30am the skip was full and they had taken it away, plus the bin bags where we were, well, they were left there, forgotten about, cos we live in the very bottom corner of the estate, and were obviously overlooked.

After ringing to complain they told us someone would be sent up to collect them, and they were sorry, only three days later we are now all being threatened by the council that if we don't get rid of the bags immediately then we will be fined for them!!!

    UNBELIEVABLE!!!

    SOUND OFF...!!!

This is a blog that I agreed to do for Angel Kisses and Butterfly Shani and Mum, Kim, I think, anyway, definately for Angel Kisses, to relieve myself of all that pent-up agro. and let people know what's goin' on in my little world at the same time!!

I'm glad I decided to do it, as it sounds like a great idea to me!!

If anyone would like to join in then all you need do is go to:

find the blog called 'sound off', and leave a comment with your space address, and i'm sure she will include you!!

Ok, so here I go, My first ever 'SOUND OFF....'

Have you ever had to throw an old appliance out, electrical, like that knackered washer, or dodgy frihge, and you ring the cleansing department up at the council, who give you a day that they will come collect it?

It's gone when you get home that day and everyone is happy. No fly~tipping problem for the council, no unsightly appliance hangin' around for you, and no having to find somewhere to fly~tip it if you have no other choice, everyone's really happy.

    Not anymore.

Now the council's have decided that thy will charge you for removing these unwanted items.

£11 for a very small electric fire

    £15 for a large T.V.

£20 for that old dodgy fridge,

    Unbelievable!!!

They put road tax up every year, for upkeep of the roads, and then add a little extra on the 'Poll Tax' for community highways, so we pay twice.

They charge us for the rubbish collections that they do, again in your 'poll tax' , never collect the cardboard, or empty the garden waste bins, not where i am anyway ~ they always 'forget' this small area, or that one, mmmmm.

They charge for all refuse services this way, and yet again charge us for a second time now for the electrical goods!!

I truely don't know how they get away with it, but they do.

I bet if someone looked into things that we pay twice for a lot of goods and services that we 'badly' receive.

Well, that's my rant for this week, and it does feel nice to get it off your chest!!

Promise i will rant about something more interesting next week!!

    Bye for Now,
